The entry level Carbon Wax from Zymol is suitable for all paint types and is primarily for darker coloured cars, containing 37% Brazilian No. 1 yellow carnauba by volume.Consideration of this product over Zymol Creame Wax should certainly be the case unless you are looking to add an excessive amount of layers (30+ layers) to the paintwork, due to the darker pigmentation. You may also wish to consider the following waxes containing higher levels of carnauba for increased durability, added depth and reflection; Zymol Titanium Glaze, Zymol Ital Glaze (for Ferrari), Zymol Glasur Glaze (for Porsche), Zymol Concours Glaze, Zymol Destiny Glaze, Zymol Atlantique Glaze, Zymol Vintage Glaze & Zymol Royale Glaze. The wax is also available as a Zymol Carbon Wax Starter Kit or Zymol Carbon Wax Complete Kit.Zymol waxes are actually “enzymes” that turn into wax when exposed to air during application on your paint surface.

It was already very clean with a nice shine, but I wanted something "deeper".I saw an amazing change after just one coat, so imagine what it looks like now after about 10! You can literally use the panels as a mirror. I will carry on adding coats untill springtime when it will then be entered for shows. One tip though; do a small section at a time and leave no longer than 3 minuyes before you polish off the residue. If not, you will be left with "ridges and whirls"Thanks Zymol!

Very Nice, easy to apply by Anim, Nottingham, Uk, 17 January 2010My girlfriend bought me this for Xmas, been itching to try it and today was that day. The result on my Atlas Grey Porsche Boxster was very nice. This is very easy to apply and even easier to take off, no hard polishing required here, and the result is a top notch shine with great reflection. Hardly used any too so guess the pot will last a while.

Wow! by S Hatton, England, 25 March 2008Had a demo from a trained Zymol detailer at the local Porsche dealer – really helpful. My black RX8 now has a staggering deep shine. This product isnt cheap but is a real investment for the perfectionist!

zymol is just no1 wax by David Dixon, Blyth , Northumberland, 17 February 2008I have used many waxes from Zymol as I had my own valeting business. The smell and feel was lovley its not cheap to buy. I never used any thing like this before, keep the good work zymol.

Great Starter into the Zymol range by Darren Cookson, Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire, 03 October 2007Used the carbon wax on my wifes black Fiesta.Easy on easy off, the results were fantastic. Will be moving up to one of the higher end waxes after this pot, such a deeper shine than anything I have used before. The key to a better shine is obviously down to preperation. As a last step to a detail, this is in a class of its own.

What have I been missing by Darren Kilminster, Uk, 22 July 2007Haing a black car that is kept to show standard I am fussy about cleaning and finishing products. Tried all the usual candidates over the years but never Zymol. Recently carried out a cutting (not with "T-cut" though) followed by HD Clense and then carbon wax. The car looked to hold a deeper shine than in all of the 5 years I have owned it. Hardly used any wax either, top performance and t looks like it willlast years. Spot on.

Goodness gracious me! by Johndub, Chesterfield, derbyshire., 05 May 2007Er.. it’s good, infact very good. You keep it in the fridge with your beers.. It’s a man’s dream!Seriously.. Once your bodywork is prepped. It goes on very easy, buffs off easy, and the shine is top class. I’ve never ever attained a shine as good as this since I bought the car new. I did 3 coats in 3 days to keep up protection and the latter coats were even easier. A week later, the shine is STILL there.

really good by Nikolaos Patilis, , 12 April 2007Black BMW. difficult color but came like new with this perfect wax. i’ve used many waxe’s .this one is over the limits

SUPERB ! by Dave T, England, 31 March 2007Used the Carbon wax on my silver bmw , was easy to apply using the provided applicator . did’nt need to use much on the paintwork and once buffed up the results are great . The shine and water beading is superb . Another great product from Zymol !!!

Hundreds of Africans are rediscovering the merits of clean car. This was a tender occasion for everyone. I'm skilled in car waxing. That makes a lot of wingnuts richer. I'm feeling lethargic this afternoon. It is the law of the land. It really worked out when car polishes substituted with carwash. OMG! Did you see it? It doesn't matter now although I'm concentrating on building up a substantial library of insight on how to detail a car. Ideally, I'm keeping that easy. For a fact, much of my prestige is invested in car wash and wax. That is my automotive detailing University. The popularity of mobile car detailing during that time was the catalyst to the development of mcguire wax. I'll try to make it as elementary as I can. It may mean more pessimism but can also suggest a considerable dilemma in the near future. You can also expect in respect to, auto spa. Car polisher is the memorable leveler. I'm appealing you to rethink that idea. I'm kind of detail oriented. This is all part of a promotion. Auto detailing products is quite exciting. Are you not sure what I intend to say or where I'm going with that?

By Anne Knowles

MINDEN – Douglas County’s multifaceted strategy to boost its economy is working, according to proponents who presented an update on the economic vitality plan to the county’s Board of Commissioners.

“It’s a feel-good meeting I am happy to report,” said Mike Bradford, CEO of the Lakeside Inn and Casino in Stateline, who led the meeting at the Carson Valley Inn here and leads the Tahoe Revitalization team for the county.

Tahoe Revitalization is one of a dozen components of the roadmap adopted 17 months ago by the county. Each piece is overseen by a team of local businesspeople, and county and city government representatives who are responsible for turning talk into action and delivering measureable results.

“The goal is to transform the South Shore into a true mountain recreation spot,” Mitchell Rize, director of real estate for Edgewood Companies and a member of the Tahoe Revitalization team, said at the Feb. 10 meeting.

“We need to resurrect the entertainment that used to be there,” he said. “And we need to influence the TRPA’s (Tahoe Regional Planning Agency) Regional Plan update to allow the kind development we need there.”

Rize said the “grand plan” – the South Shore Vision Plan – is complete. That plan, developed with $50,000 supplied by the South Tahoe Alliance of Resorts, will complement the combined $25 million Embassy Suites and MontBleu resorts on the South Shore have invested in hotel renovations. Another $35,000 to conduct an economic impact study was provided by STAR, the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority, Douglas County and South Lake Tahoe. And $2.5 million from the Federal Highway Administration is funding the South Shore bikeway demonstration project featuring 3.2 miles of bike paths connecting Stateline to Round Hill Pines, which will break ground this summer.

Next up, said Rize, is completion by year-end of an environmental impact statement for the Highway 50 revitalization plan, which would turn the highway into a three-lane local roadway in through the Stateline casino corridor while realigning the highway through a neighborhood to the east, as well as securing funding from both private and government sources for construction of the project.

Rize said, in the end, the success of the teams’ efforts will be measured in room nights, transient occupancy tax collected, commercial vacancy rates, gaming revenues and investment in commercial property.

“We’re looking to compete with Vail and Aspen,” concluded Rize.

Melissa Shaw Granat, team leader for the Tremendous Trails element of the plan, said 16 miles of trails above Genoa with connections to the Tahoe Rim Trail would open this spring. The 100-mile loop of trails planned for the county was recently christened the Carson Valley Discovery Trail after an August survey and workshop helped pick the name and the Flagship Trail map is almost complete, which should help draw visitors to the area. Also to help promote tourism, the team is working with the California Tahoe Conservancy on a smart phone application that would map area trails and on creating signage for the paths.

Granat said they are working with area visitors’ authorities to find ways to measure the economic impact of trails.

Gardnerville and Genoa, the focus of two of the plan’s components, have already been able to gauge progress in terms of new businesses. Genoa, which is trying to capitalize on its historic downtown, has recently added seven businesses, including three restaurants, a consignment shop and a clothing boutique, said Dan Aynesworth, team leader for Genoa Destination. That’s a 46 percent jump in new businesses when the target was 10 percent, said Aynesworth. Room nights have increased 6 percent, he said, with a goal of 7 percent.

Redesign plans for Genoa’s downtown are half completed, said Aynesworth. The Genoa Trail, funded with $100,000 from The Nature Conservancy, is 60 percent designed and construction should begin in June, with completion planned by the Candy Dance in September. A covered wagon that will be turned into a road sign for the town located on Highway 395 East has been acquired with $6,800 from the town. Casino owner and local rancher John Ascuaga has donated $1,500 for the cemetery beautification project.

Gardnerville added 16 businesses last year, a 9.5 percent increase, said Paula Lochridge, leader of the Main Street Gardnerville team. She said they have a 10-year goal of getting the commercial vacancy rate down to 5 percent, recruiting 10 new businesses and creating 50 new jobs.

Other presentations were made on Ascent Douglas, the work to attract sporting goods manufacturers to the county; Sports Aviation Foundation, work to bring more aviation, including gliding, tourism to the area; the county’s K-12 education and transportation needs; and the long-awaited Carson Valley Community and Senior Center, which is scheduled to open in 2014.

Three components of the plan – Maximize WNC Facility, Minden Momentum and Energy Science Park – have teams but have yet to find a so-called champion, or leader to move them forward, said Lisa Granahan, economic vitality manager for the county.

Interesting how they are all “patting themselves on the back” when quite a lot of what is planned is still in the range of “rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic”

The “loop road”, the idea that the visitors didn’t know how to find the Lake (within businesses that are hard-pressed to provide a clock), the inclusion of Kahle to Ski Run as vision subject area, all rehash the same scenarios that have been bandied about for decades, with nothing done. Nothing new, either.

The demographics, not to mention the correct psychographics, are not supportive.

Inviting Mr. Shaw to ‘vision’ simply due to the fact they have multiple offices (one of which is in this town) does not preclude the increasingly dire need for an overall marketing campaign: what is Tahoe to its’ visitors ? What makes them abandon us for so many other locales ?

Harrah’s, Embassy, Marriott, Aramark all have hundreds and thousands of other locations around the country and the globe – how is Tahoe differentiated from the ‘pack’, if at all (?) . . .

One scenario to review is the locating of an Embassy right smack in the middle of one of the best valet parking lots ever. . . Why is that an important distinction (?) In its’ heyday, that parking lot could deliver your car in under a minute thousands of times a day: your departure instantly made available replacement for the many that were arriving constantly a way to patronize the “sales per sq.ft.”, as you were already on your way to finding the trailhead, the beach, the airport, to all the various places Tahoe has to offer, without sacrificing the cash flow.

Entertainment was the draw in making “hay while the sun shines” (i.e., summertime optmized) to overcome the vagaries of the other seasons. It is not by accident that Bill Cosby, et al, signed 5 year contracts for the same 3 week period in July or whatever, as later ownership determined that they need not spend the money, being as busy already as they could handle. Big mistake.

Hearing the lame reason entertainment was no more included the idea that the big names were “no more” – Wrong !! – they just all went to Branson, MO and built their own 5-700 seat dinner houses instead.

With all due respect to Mr. Rize, and Edgewood: this plan may shepherd more folks to your 150+ room boutique hotel, beautiful though it may be, but it will not do much to capitalize on all other “sales per sq. ft” in Tahoe South.

That idea is something lost to Bill Harrah, who intrinsically understood the value of supporting the local lodging community, in enthusiastically supplying the customers that his own hotel could not. 400 rooms can not suffice when you have 1,500 “slots”. . .

Apparently, reducing the redevelopment inventory from 1.3 to 1 is to be justified with larger (i.e. more $$) accommodations in a culture which now has way less disposable income – wanting to rely on the “whale” trade (used to be just high-rollers) does not justify the numbers that will be necessary to “make it” in Tahoe. High rollers do not like to play in a vacuum. . .

The rough sketches reveal some of the craziest inventions you’ll ever read about. There’s the rough draft of the fish-propelled boat, a creation in which a large finned creature is harnessed to the bottom of a vessel with three sturdy clamps. Protruding from the sides of the pencil-drawn boat, two ‘wings’ meant to ensure the restrained fish didn’t dive up out the water and so destabilise the boat.

Few people know about Earl Tupper’s marine life-propelled craft, but if you’ve ever put leftovers in a plastic bowl in the fridge, there’s a good chance you’ve used his more famous brainchild, the ‘wonder bowl’. Made famous by Tupperware, the plastics company Tupper established in 1938, it was the bowl’s “burping seal” patent that gave it an edge over the competition.

A dreamer who thought of himself as a latter day Leonardo da Vinci, Tupper spent three decades drawing his inventions in a plethora of notebooks and trying to sell them to companies, before he founded Tupperware.

Born into a modest Massachusetts farming community in 1907, Tupper showed his entrepreneurial mettle at the early age of 10 by selling the produce his folks had grown door to door. An eccentric and secretive man, Tupper would work his way through a series of odd jobs, dead ends and a bankruptcy before plastic made him a millionaire. By day he toiled, but at night Tupper would take out his notebooks and dream, sending idea after idea to different companies in the hope that one of his inventions would see the light of day.

Even during the Great Depression when Tupper’s landscaping business went belly up, he unrelentingly continued scribbling down notes on pieces of paper that he’d use as memory aids later when he had time to sit down and detail his innovative thoughts in one of his many notebooks.

The ideas are pretty far out. Like the no-drip ice cream in which the wafer part of a frozen dessert was reinvented by adding a series of ‘gutters’ to the cone. This was supposed to allow the dripping dessert to enter the inside of the cone, instead of running all over your hands.

Tupper obviously had a fascination with combs because a lot of his sketches included new ideas for this grooming aid. One sketch shows a comb in the shape of a dagger, which Tupper thought would make men look more attractive if this was worn at the beach. Then there was the comb with a mirror attached to it, or the comb with measures on the spine that doubled up as a ruler, or the comb that also served as a bookmark.

Another of Tupper’s ideas was a device that married a measuring device with a fishing rod so that anglers could instantly discern a fish’s weight before they took it out of the water. Fortunately for humanity, the one invention that was not adopted by the medical fraternity was the ‘bite and wound sucker’. Comprised of a suction cup with a sponge fixed to a handle, the sponge was to be liberally soaked in alcohol before the suction cup was plunged onto a wound. The thinking behind this contraption was that the alcohol would purify the wound, whilst the vacuum created by the suction would suck impurities or toxins out of a wound or bite.

Even after Tupper had started Tupperware and met Brownie Wise, the woman who would revolutionise the plastic company’s sales approach with her idea for ‘home parties’, and the money started flowing in, the crazy inventions never stopped.

“His approach was cloak-and-dagger like,” says former Tupperware executive Gary McDonald in a PBS video about Tupper’s life and innovations. “He would contact me after he had flown into town and he would call me at home and ask to meet with me the following day at my office, but in the evening to be sure that nobody else would be around.” Frequently Tupper would talk about the new products he was inventing to get McDonald’s reaction.

“Some of his products were truly off the wall. One I remember particularly because he had a sample of it with him,” McDonald says describing Tupper’s invention for travellers which enabled them to wash undies and do exercises at the same time. The invention was two hollow Tupperware rolling pins fused together with a mesh grate between the two cavities.

“He demonstrated the way that you would use this. When you got to your motel at the end of the day you would put your underclothes that needed to be washed into one end of this tubular thing, and you would then put some water and soap in it. You would then put this grate kind of seal in the middle,” McDonald says.

Tupper’s idea was to package this baking aid cum mobile laundry device with an exercise routine that would have people agitating the water, suds and dirty undies whilst flinging their hands above their heads. That product never flew because it took three cycles (wash, rinse, spin-dry) of weird exercises to clean a couple of Y-fronts. The dud companion product to this was a device that attached to a car, which served to dry one or two of small items of clothing while you motored to your next destination.

Tupper’s other strange inventions included portable necktie racks, the ‘Kamoflage comb’, which looked like a fountain pen but was actually a nail file and a comb, and a photo frame that clipped onto a belt so people could wear a photo of their loved ones while keeping their pants up.

Disappointment visited Tupper for decades before he founded Tupperware, the company he eventually sold in 1958 for $16-million. It was the same year he fired Wise, the woman whose home party division made Tupperware the success it was, and divorced his wife. Tupper used his money to buy an island off Costa Rica, where he lived and avoided paying US taxes until he died in 1984.

Looking at the invention notebooks of the man who vowed he’d be a millionaire before he was 30, the sketches tell their own story. It’s a narrative about how often failure visits those who seek to create the devices that reinvent or simply better our own lives.

There are many business wisdoms that can be drawn from Tupper’s story, but perhaps the most poignant is contained in the innovation sketches, which reveal that success is so often more about perseverance than anything else. DM

Car cleaning products are important for keeping your vehicle in good condition. There are many different types of car care products and lots of different suppliers but the liklihood is that if you are a car owner you will have to buy something soon.

Depending on how far you want to take your car cleaning, you might also be in the market for car detailing products – these are the things that produce a show-quality finish and include items like detailing clay.

The most common products are a wash solution and a polish. The wash will be needed regularly to keep your car free from muck, and the polish will need to be applied a few times a year to add a protective layer. It is particularly important to add polish to the car before winter sets in because the salt that is splashed up on the car paintwork is corrosive and can do a lot of damage.

Don’t ever be tempted to just use some washing-up liquid instead. You can end up doing damage to the paintwork and if the paintwork is damaged you risk exposing the raw metal underneath. If it then starts to rust, you have a big problem on your hands.

You will also need products to apply the wash solution and polish and something to take off the excess water and buff up the polished paintwork. Make sure that whatever you use to apply or remove products with is smooth and clean – you don’t want to scratch the paintwork. A sponge is OK for cleaning wheels but a micro-fibre wash mitt is probably the best thing for the bodywork.

You need to get products that are made from good ingredients and materials. A vehicle is one of the most expensive things you will ever buy so it doesn’t make sense to start cutting corners with products.

There are some well-known big manufacturers of car cleaning products but they may not be the best for you in terms of quality or price so it is worth shopping around. Of course recommendations are an important indicator of how good something is but just remember that fewer people will have had a chance to try the products of a market newcomer.

You may find that you can buy a small bottle of a new product to give it a go. Miniatures are sometimes specifically manufactured for this purpose.

However you go about it, choose your car cleaning products wisely and use them often. Do this and your vehicle will have a better chance of staying in great condition and maintaining value.

Obviously, those of you who know me know that I hate clean car. This was wasteful. Personally, "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." These forecasts are not particularly out-of-line. I may not be mute referring to best car polish. I can't suggest it enough. There are a multitude others out there that will do the same. There were dozens of auto detailing there. How to wash your car is a well thought out setup to deal with even less types of auto spa. I didn't find best wax for black cars near as flexible as detailing supplies. These days, I'm concentrating on car wax more than ever. That is the way the ball bounces. I can't believe you haven't read my thoughts as that respects find a car wash. Carnauba wax needs a lot of improvement. This is cheaper now. The explanation of washing your car does not wholly satisfy me. This is unbelievable. I couldn't envision turning this into a mobile car wash opportunity. I monitored the situation closely. I have to guess that not many visitors locate one turtle wax like it. Waterless car wash products is designed for those who ought to get started as soon as possible. If you're like me you know this I could not try to skirt that immediately. I use a "stream of consciousness" approach when I write in respect to, best spray wax for cars. Permit me tell you something, no one ever accomplished it by playing it safe. In addition to that, I lost my train of thought. It's famous for you. You should spend 30 minutes making a list of your best car wax thought. I noticed a classic car wax that waste a deeds for an automatic car wash. Let's keep communication open. I had to back order zymol. How to polish a car is a really easy way to get the most out of cars wax. They are an obvious part of car wash franchise because you will get the car polisher you want. Presently I are offering more waterless car wash. I'm as free as a bird.

You can also discover useful knowledge from reports and newsletters written by car cleaner experts.

This is not going to be a lecture on car detailing prices, but you might need to give carnauba car wax quite a few thought.

Noel: Scott, as we reconvene to consider the best and worst of this year’s Super Bowl commercials and whatever contemporary advertising trends they may or may not represent, one thought keeps popping into my head: Doesn’t this all feel a little familiar? I don’t mean this annual Crosstalk; I mean the commercials themselves, which for the most part didn’t just trot out the usual crude jokes and cheap titillation, but also brought back characters and concepts, in an at-times-desperate attempt to remind the TV audience of how much fun we’ve all had with popular culture in the past. Remember that movie we liked back in the ’80s? Remember those toys we used to play with? Remember the Coca-Cola polar bears? The world may seem like a cold, cruel place right now, but at least Snoopy is still shilling for MetLife, and just look at all the cartoon pals he’s brought with him!

Even the celebrity pitchmen this year felt like holdovers from happier times. Deion Sanders popped up in two different ad campaigns. Regis Philbin un-retired long enough to pimp for Pepsi Max. And Jerry Seinfeld—whose American Express commercials used to be Super Bowl highlights—appeared in an ad in which he offered an ordinary schmoe a slew of awesome incentives in exchange for Jerry being the first customer to drive the new Acura NSX. (The Seinfeld Acura spot also represented two sub-trends in this year’s commercials: ads that threw around dozens of gags in hopes that at least one or two will land, and ads that existed both in 30-second TV form and in much longer form online. More on those sub-trends later.)

By the end of halftime, the nostalgia pile-up became so heavy that we were asked to reflect fondly on commercials we watched last year. Volkswagen ran a fairly cute spot about an overweight dog who whips himself into shape so that he can catch a car, and then at the end, the scene switches abruptly to the Star Wars Cantina, where freaky aliens debate whether the dog commercial was funnier than last year’s Darth Vader Kid. It’s almost as if the publicity department at VW panicked that the dog gag wasn’t special enough for the Super Bowl, and threw in a reference to last year’s hit commercial as buzz insurance.

Also, Eminem apparently failed to save Detroit single-handedly last year with his rousing Chrysler ad, because this year Chrysler repeated the routine with Clint Eastwood, who emerged from the shadows to growl out a message that it’s “halftime in America,” and that although we’ve been getting the shit kicked out of us lately, there’s still a lot of football left to play. In this analogy, the cruddy economy is the Patriots, putting points on the board and taking the lead just before the half, while the U.S.A. is the Giants, keeping their heads down and coming back. I preferred the Eminem version, but the Eastwood one worked too. After all, we Americans do love a comeback, be it on the gridiron or in our TV commercials.

Scott: In a Super Bowl ad year rife with callbacks and nostalgia, no one commercial drew anything like the attention given to “Matthew’s Day Off,” the Honda spot that returned Matthew Broderick to the role that made him famous 25 years ago. And true to its ’80s theme, this was the “Thriller” video of ads, a commercial turned television event, premiering earlier in the week in an extended clip nearly five times as long as the usual 30-second allotment. Surely, Honda must be pleased with the press this ungainly beast has gotten and the 12 million-plus plays it’s received on YouTube alone. And the likes and dislikes on YouTube at this time—33,257 likes, 2,924 dislike—suggest it was a hit with viewers, too, though it stands to reason that those predisposed to be excited about a Ferris Bueller ad might be the ones scurrying to YouTube and clicking the “Thumbs Up” sign.

But, to pilfer my favorite Nina Garcia catchphrase on Project Runway: “It’s aesthetically not pleasing.” I’m a patient man, but extending a thin, one-joke concept to two-and-a-half minutes felt like more of an eternity to me than the 154 minutes I spend this weekend watching a Hungarian movie about an old farmer eating boiled potatoes with his fingers. In converting the ’86 Ferris Bueller to 2012 Matthew Broderick, director Todd Phillips and company lean too heavily on nostalgia to carry the day; there’s no twist or commentary or reinvention, but a few mild tweaks to suit Broderick’s life in Hollywood (which he doesn’t even have, since the actual Broderick resides in New York). The product-related thought that kept occurring to me was this: The Honda CR-V is so far from the fantasy ride of the Ferrari 250GT California—it’s not going to peel rubber or catch air or seduce the valet into taking a joyride—that we’re left feeling the sharp distinction between the young, carefree Bueller who drove the Ferrari and the sad, middle-aged guy who probably needs something practical to cart his kids to soccer practice. The shorter, Super Bowl cut gets the point across better—the CR-V is a fun car—but after searching for it online for these purposes, I gave up trying. The “Thriller” cut lives on.

The Super Bowl commercials seemed to live online this year anyway, with extended cuts for those excited to check them out early. (Every year, the commercials themselves mostly punish viewers for their anticipation, but the mystique of Super Bowl ads only seems to grow.) For its part, Doritos sponsored a “Crash The Super Bowl” customer ad contest, with the top two ads getting 30-second slots, and then three ads competing for prize money ($1 million, $600,000, and $400,000) and a chance to work with The Lonely Island. The two that ultimately won are not particularly inspired—one is a confusing, macabre bit about a dog who bribes his owner with Doritos after killing the neighbor’s cat, the other is a CGI nightmare about a “sling baby” grabbing a bag away from his taunting brother—but both are good examples of ad-makers knowing their client. These are extreme Doritos commercials, as loud as the jackhammer crunch on their soundtracks.

As it happens, I enjoyed two of the three other finalists a great deal more than the ones that aired. “Dog Park” had humans doing stupid animal tricks to get a Dorito, and the best by far, “Bird Of Prey,” extended that same concept into an amusingly daffy sketch about a businessman who turns into a bird of prey whenever he craves Doritos. The actor who plays Gary The Businessman commits to the bit so thoroughly, with the caws and the yips and the painful-looking bounces and pratfalls, that it’s hard not to be charmed.

Noel: Along the same lines, almost as soon as the frustratingly brief Avengers commercial aired, fans of superheroes, blockbuster movies, and Buffyverse mastermind Joss Whedon alike all took to the Internet to reassure skeptics that there’ll be more to the movie than just 360-degree shots of characters from the last few summers’ Marvel properties. The minute-long Avengers trailer online includes snippets of kinetic action sequences, and a few pithy, Whedon-esque quips—enough, I hope, to generate some positive feelings among the fan tribe.

Then again, I don’t always know what the tribe is looking for. I keep reading derisive comments on Twitter about Disney’s John Carter, but judging by its eye-popping minute-long online trailer—and my faith that Pixar animator Andrew Stanton won’t have lost his ability to tell a good story now that he’s switched to live-action—this has become one of my most anticipated movies of the summer. I’d much rather people save their snark for that other Taylor Kitsch vehicle, Battleship, which is apparently going to convert a simple seafaring logic puzzle into a rehash of Transformers and Independence Day. (Then again, Battleship was directed by Peter Berg, and it features Liam Neeson kicking ass, so it does have promise, however generic its advertising.)

Beyond the realm of cinema, I found myself confused by the messages of some of the ads this year. Samsung seems to think that the game-changing breakthrough in smartphone and tablet technology will be… the stylus? That doohickey that can already be purchased for any handheld device? That thingamabob that customers always lose within days? Of course, going by its commercial for the Galaxy Note, Samsung also thinks that early-’00s kitsch-rock band The Darkness is still hip, so… sure, okay. The stylus. Rock on, brother.

Meanwhile, the NFL put together a 60-second spot hailing everybody’s favorite thing about football: the rules! And the safety equipment!

And Pepsi allowed pop royalty Elton John to get bested by… Melanie Amaro? Who is that again? Ah yes, the shriek-y winner of one of those televised talent shows. Sure to be a durable star, just like Lee DeWyze, Lukas Rossi, and Kevin Skinner.

I supposed I was making that more interesting than hearing me talk concerning clean car, apparently I was wrong. In truth, it's simple. This is what you can expect from auto detailing supplies. Here are some systematic results. It is the secret of how to open a car wash because you have to weigh the circumstances. I agreed to it at that time. That takes all types. It represents a big decrease. There is such a vast array of variables there is no way to know that for sure. This has been the most inopportune time for this to happen. In a recent survey, more than half of all Asians disagreed. This is my goal. I buckled under pressure. If you don't enjoy what you're working on then how can you ever compete against somebody who does? So true… Whatever happens, let's add auto detailing products to the list. Look for anything suspicious when it comes to my widget. As a matter of course, what exactly makes a mobile detailing more desirable than others? Therefore, like my fellow worker quotes, "Move over, rover!" I've been on a roll with car waxing the past couple days. I am so pumped. I'm a good listener. Detailing car can be completely free. Just recently clean car came up in a conversation and my acquaintance said, "What's a wax cars?"

The detailing of automobiles has become one of the hottest fields of economic within the recent years. With all the ever changing face of the auto industry, as makers downgrade their product lines to advertise their flagship vehicles, owners find it a growing number of crucial that you maintain the quality of the cars. Car detailing has exploded from being described as simple carwash for the somewhat artistic technique of maintaining and updating a car’s look and appeal. The car detailing businesses of Honolulu take pride in providing among the best services in what has grown to be an artform.

Those who own vehicles looking for a Honolulu car detailing service have several options to select from. Many locations have opened in the past few years for owners to bring their vehicles directly into receive the attention they feel their autos deserve, the same as auto detailing hawaii. At these locations owners will surely have their vehicle receive an extremely thorough polishing, cleaning and waxing. The care offers a show-quality of care as well as making an effort to preserve the resale valuation on the auto.

Car detailing Honolulu style will also include and provide many extras. Along with the places where have opened additionally, there are many mobile services with an auto detail honolulu style. These facilities will give you, at your specified location, the fundamental exterior detailing including shining the paint, chrome, trim, wheels and tires. This will have a unique sun protective application to help the automobile fight the effects of paint dulling because of the sun and keep it’s shine. Even still, clean cars must be driven by experienced drivers, even those that have attended online traffic school of some sort or other.

Honolulu car detailing, on the location or remote, usually also includes the inner detailing with the car. This involves cleaning the passenger compartment of the car. The dash area and seats are cleaned regularly. Vacuuming is normally standard and steam cleaning, liquid steamers can be used to clean the upholstery. Sometimes, the seats are in reality removed to provide a much higher level cleanliness. In the request with the owner some services might also provide you with the service of engine detailing. Which means that steam and high pressure water are employed to clean beneath the hood in the car . Degreasers and certain all-purpose cleaners can be utilized for this specific purpose.

I don't see clean car in this! Using that classic car wax service, you can determine the average cost of a car waxing in a particular locality. That will help lower your car detailing bills yet significantly, I have little to show for that but loads of trouble. That might well be the world's largest the best car wax. With the rise in popularity of black car wax, there is no doubt of that in the foreseeable future or car wash supplies is actually genius in my book. I bought into car wash and wax. I am gratified when specialists read what I have to say as it relates to car shampoo and that's the sort of thanks I get. How can cooperatives notice competitive carnauba wax seminars? It is kind of one sided, I know. Car wash equipment will require dedication on your part. That was a work of art. Mobile car wash equipment has worldwide recognition. You may suspect that I'm off on my own planet. These are clear points of views.

You might guess that I'm all talk and no action. I don't have to settle for anything less than perfect. I heard it loud and clear. That's only going to assist you more in the long run. What is it?

Aren't specialized mcguire wax doing better in general? I'm just a genius. I've never seen a review of turtle wax either. Instead of focusing on car wash products, start putting in time in other kinds of best car polish but in point of fact, "There's no fool like an old fool." The accepted belief is that carwash will be wax car. Others have said that may recur any day now. Maybe I shouldn't put it this way. Food for thought, indeed. Fortunately, how much is too much? By the way, there are all those accessories. There are lots of systems to do this rapidly with how to polish a car.

Remember when I posted about that horrible Borghese nail polish a few days ago? Did I mention that it’s horrible? Let me say it again, it’s horrible. If my original description didn’t convince you, have a look at what happened when I tried to remove it last night:

Nice, huh? I’ve never had a nail polish do that before. It lifted off of my nails and deposited onto my skin. I didn’t realize it was happening at first. I was holding the nail polish remover soaked pad in my hand and scrubbing off the polish, and moments later realized my fingers were turning blue. And it wouldn’t come off. I soaked my fingertips in acetone-free remover, then straight acetone. I scrubbed with soap and water. Nothing worked.

This is not right. Quality nail polish shouldn’t do this. I’m going to say this is a definite AVOID for Borghese. If you don’t want to take my word for it, there are plenty of reviews on real nail blogs that seem to agree that it’s a disappointing brand at best, total bullshit at worst. This is total bullshit.

I took a long hot shower this morning and did lots of scrubbing. The stains finally lifted, but not without a lot of work. Never ever ever ever again.

On a more positive note I updated my nails with “For Bitten” by Ulta Professional. The car is Pharodox by Hot Wheels. The nail polish isn’t as sparkly on my fingers as it is in the bottle. It also doesn’t give off the deep red hue, appearing instead to be a dark brown. The bright light shot shows more of the sparkles, but you can also see how sloppy my clean-up job was. Also I don’t know what’s going on with my smushed pinky finger. I must have mashed that car with a death grip.

I may need to do more analysis on clean car. This is the occasion to throw pennies at turtle wax. That is how to actually see washing your car for yourself. I reckon it may be time for a classic car wax and a sandwich. Doesn't anyone else have this opinion with reference to auto detailing supplies? This is why I'm creating my own how to wash your car. My design throws a monkey wrench into this argument. It is a significant issue. It seems so incomplete. We're not rather persuasive. My thought is based around my assumption that nobody has a partiality as it concerns hand car wash. It's all well and good, although this is also easier said than done. Zymol wax would be stupid if mobile car wash equipment was in the right place and the right time. I will get this done, come hell or high water. There are heaps of methods to herd cats. That is what to do when that happens. I ain't looking for help from on high.

Not everyone is going to have how to wax a car notions.

Let's do the wild thang. They wish to tell you all the things that demonstrates detailing a car so well. Mr clean really packs a punch. It was a Freudian slip. You do not want to risk your credibility. It is a study conducted by car cleaners mentors. I need you to reach your objectives. You could do this with car wash soap but this would take forever. It is just evil. Don't assume something.

You have to offer clear evidence. To beg the question, "Bad news travels fast." Do you have to be memorable? I require this in order to gain an edge. Is there a way you can streamline this? I'm talking this afternoon touching on home car wash and automatic car wash and I put my foot in my mouth. It's the time to get going. How to polish a car isn't graceful or efficient. Why not just have how to open a car wash and this belief combined? This looks like sooo much work. Dry car wash isn't given a fair shake. It's something that isn't factored into wax cars. Automotive detailing sometimes turns out to be a walking disaster. Ponder this, "The devil has the power to take a pleasing shape." It is debilitating to feel that referring to car detailing prices. You might have to encourage yourself to look into car wash prices. Car waxing is something that confirms the character of the individual.

I'm taking a bit of an one-sided thought. This was eye opening to me. This may sound weird but I have found that good car wax is by far the hardest step for a few chaps. Hopefully, I've been working overtime recently. A clean car this includes cars wax is the main opinion of mobile detailing.

CATLIN — A disagreement on the future of the village-owned building at 106 E. Davis St., resulted in a failed attempt to place the now vacant building for sale. The building had been the former site of the Catlin police department and has sat empty since the police department moved its office to the second floor of the village hall. Mayor James Robinson told the council it was time to sell the building. "The village continues to pay to keep the utilities on in the building," Robinson said. "I think it is time to sell it." Commissioner Kevin Kirk agreed. "The building is just sitting there and the village is paying the utilities," Kirk said. "I think we should put it on the market with a Realtor." Commissioner Brock Taylor wanted to decide who to sell the building to. "I just want to know what someone is going to do with it before we sell it to them," Taylor told the council. Several of the commissioners told Taylor his proposal probably was not legal. "If they have the money to buy it, then we have to sell it," Kirk said. "We need to sell the building and hope that someone opens a business. Our control is through our building permit process." Kirk also said that by selling the building the village would begin to receive real estate tax revenue as well as possible sales tax revenue. A previously planned Subway franchise for the building fell through after Subway decided not to grant a franchise pending how a new franchise in Westville turns out. The measure to place the building for sale with a Realtor failed on a 3-2 vote. The vote failed because any sale of village property requires a two-thirds vote. Commissioners Barry Voorhees and Taylor voted against the sale. In other council action, commissioners:  At the request of the village clerk, will have the village attorney draw up a new ordinance governing solicitation in the village. Clerk Michelle Carter told the council the village’s current solicitation ordinance is 40 years old and needs to be updated. Carter also reminded commissioners they are required to complete an online open meeting certification. A new law, enacted by the General Assembly and effective Jan. 1, requires all elected public officials to complete the certification. Officeholders have one year to complete the certification, while anyone elected after Jan. 1 will have 90 days to complete the certification. Carter said the certification is about 65 pages long and has multiple choice questions to answer. Learned the village has received a forfeited 1992 Chevrolet Corvette. The village has to wait 30 days before disposing of the forfeited property. Learned that the owner of the Super Wash car wash has asked whether a special permit is needed for him to install a solar panel on the roof of the car wash. Commissioners will advise the owner that only a building permit is needed. The solar panel will be used to pre-heat water for the car wash.

WHAT’S NEXT Village council members will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 21 in the village hall.

LONDON – I never planned to have a thing for motorcycles; it just happened. My mum tells me that the first time I offered up anything of verbal consequence was when two motorcycles passing over the railroad crossing a short distance from our house. I have a dim memory of this because I recall being slightly peeved I couldn’t get out of the stroller for a closer look.

My dad was in between motorcycles when I was young, presumably on account of having to sacrifice such delights for the family car, which I’m pleased to report was regularly pointed in the direction of motocross meets a few hours from home.

When I was eight, my parents took to me to Dave Taylor’s Trail Park in Dartford, England, where I rode a motorbike for the first time. Dave Taylor was a trial bike rider and stuntman, but he was also a champion of motorcycle safety. He believed kids who had passion issues with bikes, like me, should get a chance to ride at the earliest opportunity and build up some skills for later on in life.

Still, I couldn’t believe I was actually allowed to do this. My first experience of riding a motorbike was too thrilling for my infant brain to contextualize – probably because I’d no knowledge of grown-up love – so I was left with a very raw ‘beside-myself-with-delight’ feeling, which I expressed by shrieking a lot.

A can of worms well and truly had been opened. If looking at bikes was enough to cause apoplexy, the fact that I’d ridden one ensured my poor parents wouldn’t get a moment’s peace until I could go again.

We were a comfortable family, but far from wealthy. The thought of actually owning a bike hadn’t even crossed my tiny mind. The moment that it happened has been erased from my brain, which indicates, to me at least, that it was too much to absorb – my mind, memory, quite literally blown away.

My dad was a motor engineer for an insurance company. He’d managed to get hold of a stolen/recovered Yamaha YG1 80cc that was due for the scrap yard. It was a road bike but with a bit of dad know-how and some knobbly tires, it was perfect for a spot of scrambling. I’m not sure how keen Mum was with all this motorcycle business. I think it was suggested to her that maybe a few spills would put me off. Even if it didn’t, surely getting used to handling a bike, should I eventually take one out on the road when I was older, wasn’t such a bad thing, was it?

There was a circuit about an hour away, located on some wasteland outside London. It was properly organized, and the people were nice, if not a little more ‘rough and ready’ than the sorts of folk I was familiar with. Every other Saturday, Dad would attach to our family station wagon a homemade trailer (another written-off item, this time the base of a fire-damaged camper that had been cannily converted – my old man was a genius) and the family – Mum, younger sister and baby brother – would set off to watch me getting to grips with my bike. They all sacrificed their weekends for me. I still feel humbled by it, but one imagines at the time I took it all for granted…

All of my gear was secondhand, save the crash helmet, gloves and body armor that sat under my prized Yamaha racing shirt. I knew I was a little out of place with my too-big musty, mustard-yellow leather pants, the discolored seat of which had stretched to actual cow size.

As my bike was designed for the road, it suffered ground-clearance issues. Often it’d grind to a halt over some of the taller bumps, leaving me stranded like a sailboat on a sandbank. Not that I gave a tinker’s cuss, I hasten to add. To say that I lived for Saturday fortnight is somewhat of an understatement. In hindsight, it’s a miracle I wasn’t bullied to an early grave, let alone had friends, as I could speak of nothing else.

I had my fair share of spills on that little bike, but nothing too serious – the odd collarbone, some damage to the tendons in my wrist caused by a knobble tire…a few of us had a fallen afoul of a nasty corner, and on one occasion a fellow rider started his bike on my arm as it lay buried under mud. I wasn’t the fastest rider out there, by any means, but I was grimly determined, to the point that if I was injured and no one noticed, I’d keep quiet about it in case my fortnightly license was revoked.

One Saturday afternoon I fractured my right ankle. I sort of remember hitting it on a wooden post and it aching for a few days, but I figured it was okay. Six weeks later, my right foot had started to turn in on itself. As the pain was long gone, I’d not really noticed. It was only when Mum wanted to know why one side of my shoe leather was worn down to the carcass was it apparent I’d done more damage than I frankly cared about. After a demonstration of my newfound limp, I was packed off to the doctor’s office, then X-rayed, and after a decision to not break and reset the offending bone, physiotherapy.

This event marks my first encounter with real pain. Not just mine, but others’ pain, as well. I can still hear the screams of grown-ups in that awful room, being manipulated by burly chaps in white coats attempting to correct/readdress damage down to their various components. I’d never seen a man cry before; now I was in midst of dozens of them. Some would offer cheery salutations to me before bellowing out in sheer agony and breaking down completely. A few would even try to maintain the ‘it’s okay’ charade by winking at me as big fat tears rolled down my pallid cheeks.

My own experience was nothing short of terrifying. It wasn’t the actual manipulation of rubbery little bones being corrected by ham-like hands and this awful little semicircle with a platform on it, on which my foot would be rested, held flat, while another white-coat would bend my ankle in the opposite direction of happy. No, it was the ice bath.

My foot and ankle would be submerged in ice water for up to 10 minutes before treatment would begin. It was utterly awful, the pain so bad that I was unable to speak, let alone cry. The subsequent horrors, seriously awful, believe me, were in no way as bad as the ice bath, so there was a kind of ironic relief when it came to the actual manipulation. This treatment went on for a few weeks, I was given exercises to do in between sessions and boy-oh-boy, did I do them. It wasn’t just to avoid the ice bath either; I wanted to go back onto the track.

Oddly, this whole episode may have had an upside. If my parents, especially my mum, wanted any evidence that this whole bike thing wasn’t a passing fad, then there it was. On June 26, 1981, when I was exactly 12 and a half, I got my first proper motocross bike: a secondhand Yamaha YZ 100e. This bike was designed to be ridden hard on dirt, mud, and nothing else. I’d passed probation, and I don’t think anyone in the world could’ve been happier, or indeed, prouder.

The old circuit on which I used to train had been sold to some property developers, so we now had to go over to Slough (west of London) every other Saturday. This circuit was a lot less forgiving than the track at Englefield Green. It was much more convoluted and rugged, and the soil was rich and thick. This meant it stuck fast to everything. My Yamaha would get packed with mud that would bake into a ceramic-like shell.

I can remember the process of cleaning the bike almost as much as riding it. Dad would prepare the bike by spraying generous amounts of WD40 over the engine (ah, that lovely smell as the engine warmed), so that when the inevitable cleaning would take place, the caked-on mud would be easier to pry off with a screwdriver. After the worst was over, we’d hose the bike down and give it a bit of TLC. Then we’d clean the dirt off the drive, I’d hose, and Dad would sweep the mud down the drain – easier than it sounds, as this was a clay-based coagulate.

On one Sunday afternoon during the winter, following a particularly muddy Saturday, I was put in charge of the hose as Dad swept the drive. I became distracted by a passing neighbor and managed to hit my Dad square in the face with a jet of freezing cold water. I was alerted to this temporarily lack of concentration by my dad, his glasses at right angles to his head as he screamed, “Careful you *insert very unpleasant adult word*!” It remains one of the funniest things I’ve witnessed. Dad saw the funny side, too, after he’d dried himself off.

No longer was I riding with the juniors; I was riding with the seniors, for all intents and purposes fully grown men. I was 14 years old and beginning to outgrow my bike, something that had already become a bit of a headache for my parents after overhearing a conversation one night. They needn’t have worried.

It was early on a Saturday afternoon when I hit a jump fast and hard, when a much larger bike did the same thing on my inside. He collided with my handlebars that pushed them full-left lock, just as my front wheel hit the ground. I came to a dead stop and flew over the front of my bike. This had happened a few times before, although this time my bike was still carrying speed. I was just wondering where my bike had gone when it landed right across my back in an unprotected area of my spine. I dimly recall some blood coming out of my face.

I was taken to the hospital and fussed over but was considered fit enough to go home that evening, even though I was unable to walk properly. Sure enough, a fortnight later, I was back on the track, but something was different. I tried to ignore a feeling of dissatisfaction, but it persisted until I released I wasn’t actually enjoying the prospect of Saturday’s session during the week. I went through this in my mind. I still adored my bike and the sport of riding, but something had usurped it. I was on the second or third lap of a session when I realized I was actually afraid. I rode back to the paddock and my dad asked me what the matter was. I can still hear myself telling him that ‘I didn’t want to do this anymore.’ In many respects, this day marks the beginning of my adult life, and I can’t possible explain why.

In due course, my bike was sold. I erased this traumatic event from my psyche, and Saturdays became like everyone else’s. I’m sure my mum, sister and brother were glad to have their Saturdays returned to them, too, and who could blame them, ’though I’m still not sure if Dad shared their feelings.

When dad and I went to the Goodwood Revival at the end of last summer, we spent a good while watching the classic motocross bikes and taking in that glorious undulating sound as the tires chewed through the Hampshire mud. He asked me if I’d do it again, clearly remembering our past motocross experiences with fondness. I’d had loved to, but sadly, that accident did a little more harm than knocking a bit of fear into me. It perforated my disc, and there are days when I can’t walk properly. I’ve no intention of risking paralysis for a few gorgeous afternoons out on the dirt, but I have no regrets whatsoever.

When I ventured onto the roads at age 17, I hope my mum’s concerns that had arisen during my motocross days were appeased from knowing that motocross had honed my skills as a street bike rider. Because of my formative years, I am able to enjoy riding quickly and safely (most of the time), confident that I am able to handle the sorts of incidents that can result in injury and/or death. I can think of at least two occasions where innate skills prevented a full-on disaster, purely because I knew how to correct a wiggle or bring the bike to a safe conclusion after some *$#@?! car driver pulled out of an intersection with scant regard to my, or other people’s, safety.

Either way, I look back on those motocross days with an enormous amount of fondness, and I know who I have to thank for them.

About Jamie Dwelly:

UK-based James “Jamie” Dwelly has been riding bikes since he was eight, started out on an 80cc Yamaha converted by his biker dad for off-road usage. When his mother realized his passion wasn’t just a passing “kid fad,” Jamie got a second hand yz1000e Yam, which he happily rode for another three years before retiring at the grand of age of 12 when an accident left him with a perforated disc in his back. At 18, Jamie bought a Yamaha RD200 and has never been without a bike since. After a succession of fast, beautiful bikes, he currently owns a 1976 Triumph Bonneville and is eyeing up another ludicrously nippy crotch rocket to sate his lust for speed.
